On the one hand, the results aren't at all surprising. Of course people against miscegenation are more likely to be against gay sex and vice-versa. On the other hand, opponents of gay sex (and gay marriage) want us to believe the two have nothing to do with each other.

The two don't have anything to do with each other. This is the same logical fallacy as claiming that virtually everybody I know who believes in astrology also accepts the theory of evolution (which is actually an accurate statement as far as I can tell) therefore both are equally (in)valid. It simply does not follow.

According to the GSS, 56% of people who believe that the statement "ASTROLOGY HAS SOME SCIENTIFIC TRUTH" is "Definitely true" or "probably true" also believe evolution is definitely or probably true.
That's (if I recall correctly) just slightly higher than the average American, which makes some sense because the American religious denominations which oppose evolution also oppose astrology.
Anyway, astrology and evolution are factual questions, not moral ones. I don't see how you can say that opposing intermarriage has nothing to do with opposing gay sex. In both cases, they are saying that two consenting adults shouldn't get together. AND the GSS shows that there is a correlation.
No, I'm with anonymous. I could argue that being a PETA activist generally correlates with hating Jews, and be right, too. That doesn't mean that the two have anything to do with one another.

your post doesn't prove the anti - gay movement is predominatly miscegenation. It is is possible that there is a small sliver of the anti gay movement that is completely miscegenation, but the vast majority see nothing in common between the two.
In other words, there may be two reasons people appose gays, A & B. It could be that those who oppose it for reason A tend to be miscegenationists, but those might be the small minroty of the anti gays.
I'm not saying the two aren't related. I'm saying your statistics don't prove they are.
