i guess it's hard to find someone more liberal than a jewish atheist.

I don't know, the other Jewish atheist, Bacon-Eating Atheist Jew, is something of a neocon. And even I'm not really that liberal on some issues. I'm relatively pro-gun and I'm more of a moderate on foreign policy.

Done, done, and done.

Good luck, Senator!

Good luck, America!

Ha, it's all relative, I guess. I supported the first Gulf war (to the extent I could at that age) for example, when most Democratic Senators voted against it. Even regarding the current war, I wasn't 100% sure it was a bad thing at the beginning because Saddam was such a bad guy, although I certainly leaned against it because I just plain didn't see any evidence of a threat and I thought the Bush administration was wielding 9/11 for its own purposes.

Within a couple of years, it was obvious to me that my reservations about the invasion were well-founded. I don't think that necessarily makes me a liberal on foreign policy.

Your vote is meaningless.

Ziel of the Your Lying Eyes blog has the dirt on Obama on immigration:

"... Obama condemned the one feature of the proposed immigration bill that actually makes sense: de-emphasizing family ties and using a point system based on skills in selecting who gets to immigrate. The "family reunification" policy is, of course, insane, as there is no benefit to America whatsoever of allowing someone to live in the country merely because a relative is already living here..."

It really is sad that obama chose to pander to such insanity.

I don't understand why an atheist would be part of the Obama cult. Obama and his campaign stand for everything that any self-respecting atheist would oppose.

Meaningless slogans, devoid of any content, that are often not even coherent statements. ("Yes, we can!" Yes, we can what?)

Simple minded thinking. "Change good, all change good. Change bad, all change bad."

Appeal to emotion rather than reason.

I have never heard an Obama supporter give a reason for their support that is at all rational.

They say they don't want another Clinton (voting against someone, because of who she's related to -- a great ad hominem fallacy).

They say she is too old. (If that isn't an overgeneralization! And a form of prejudice! Was FDR too rich and establishment to make changes and help the working class?)

I'm really afraid of Obama's appeal to irrationality. I'm a skeptic. I don't want an inspiring leader. I want a competent leader. Inspiring leaders scare me. How many brutal dictators started out as inspiring leaders. Did you support Ronald Reagan? He was inspiring.

It's all image over substance.

You can sure that a whole army of scam artists are out there searching for the names of Obama supporters.

I'm the kind of person that doesn't fall for Obama's slick horse s---. Salesmen just hate me!
