This thing might actually happen!
For the first time since Bill Clinton, we might nominate a guy who can inspire, who has charisma, and who has guts. Gore is a good and decent man who has devoted his life to service, but he lacked both charisma and guts. John Kerry, as far as I can tell, was an attempt to call the bluff of all those who declared they'd vote for anybody but Bush. Barack Obama is the real deal. And he might actually win this thing.
I like Hillary and Edwards, don't get me wrong. But she'd never get more than 50% of the people behind her as president, and Obama would have closer to 60%. Edwards is a good, decent man with some charisma, but I don't see the gravitas or ferocious intelligence I'd ask for in a president.

But he has no strategy and nothing going for him exxcept that he is black.
Jackie Mason has a nice video blog entry about him: he has no accomplishments to show; while Edwards is a crook who robbed Katrina victims; Hillary is good for championing women's rights and little more. The only real candidate I see is Rudy.
Cautiously optimistic is how I feel about Obama. He has promises to keep and miles to go before he sleeps.
I can't see what this adulation of Obama is. He has the amazing ability to speak and say nothing.
Check out his record in the senate and in the state legislature. He's never taken a stand on anything.
And he is not a unifier. His jabs at Hillary and the president aren't showing good form.
JA....you've got to have more than this to support a candidate. Please explain.

I believe that he is smart, decent, and has good judgment. He has an impressive legislative history, despite what you say. And I think he is a unifier.
