Stephen Colbert is a Comedic Genius

This interview with D.C.'s Democratic (and only) Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton is breathtaking. We knew Colbert had big, brass balls from his send-up of the President -- to his face -- and we knew he's funny from his show, but he just nailed this interview.

(For those unfamiliar with The Colbert Report, it's basically a daily parody of Bill O'Reilly.)

Holmes Norton reminds me a little of my grandmother, and I'm not sure she's in on the joke, so I feel kind of bad for her. But I had to post this.

(Via Andrew Sullivan, again.)

UP - Yeah, but some of her stuff was just too stupid. The French stuff? I mean... come on!

After seeing this I'm very glad I don't have cable. A great example of the new un-funny comedy which is dominating the media.

The man is a juvenille embarrassment.

If you don't find something funny, it doesn't mean that it's "un-funny." Ezzie and I, who disagree about almost everything, both thought it was hilarious. You should stick with, "I don't get it."

No..I get it..the guy has no material.
This is what happens when you have news 24 hours a day and work at a computer. Everything becomes a comic work of art.
Have you seen the ads for the new Will Farrell movie where he plays a NASCAR driver? Want to run out and see that one, huh?

That is funny but I don't think her words go with her lips.
